Pundit: "Nomination of Flip-Flopper John Kerry Sends Wrong Message."
PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) – Some of President Obama's appointments are coming under fire by pundits.
One of those pundits, Dr. Stephen Zunes, is a professor of politics at the University of San Francisco.
Senator John Kerry chairs the foreign relations committee in the Senate, and is President Obama's pick to take over from Hilary Clinton.
Newsradio 1020 KDKA's Chris Moore spoke with Dr. Zunes to discuss the President's nominations, and why the Kerry nomination should be opposed, especially by progressives.
"John Kerry's appointment sends the wrong signal to both allies, and adversaries. That we haven't changed that much since the Bush years." Zunes said.
Zunes also says Kerry's record raises questions about his commitment to international law and treaty obligations.
"Kerry's embraced the ideas, that the United States has the right to up and invade a country on the far side of the world that is no threat to us." Zunes said.
Zunes also said that it's a shame that the President is nominating these kinds of people, and that the public needs to push the President to change his policy.
