Whole Foods To Open Store In North Hills
WEXFORD (KDKA) -- Whole Foods is planning to open a second store in the Pittsburgh area.
The new store will be in the Wexford Plaza off Route 19 in Wexford.
"This is one of the fastest growing communities in western Pennsylvania and the people that are moving in here are families with children who want to eat healthy, want their children to eat healthy, so there is a great audience for them," Susan Balla, head of the chamber of commerce, said.
Whole Foods is popular among those who like fresh organic and locally-grown produce.
"Just the quality of the food and a lot of the natural organics are a big thing right now and healthy eating is something we're all trying to strive to do now," David Belko, of Wexford, said.
If all goes according to plan, the North Hills store should open by the end of 2011.
