LATROBE, Pa. (KDKA) -- The Greater Latrobe School District says an anonymous 911 call that lead to a full police search of Latrobe Elementary School Wednesday afternoon may have been a prank.
A large police presence, from multiple departments, converged on the school building on Cedar Avenue just before 1 p.m.
KDKA's Ross Guidotti reported that police were searching the building room-by-room for someone inside that should not have been there.
Police secured the campus and found no one suspicious inside.
The school district says investigators believe the anonymous 911 call of the potential threat may have been a prank.
No one was injured during the incident.
However, it did lead to a full lockdown of all the buildings in the district.
District officials say law enforcement will remain at the school building for the rest of the school day as a precaution.
Students are being dismissed as usual.
