2 teens shoot each other in Pittsburgh area: sources

WEST MIFFLIN, Pa. (KDKA) — Two teenagers were shot in West Mifflin on Monday. 

In a news release, the Allegheny County Police Department said the shooting happened around 6 p.m. on Midway Drive. Sources told KDKA-TV that police believe a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old shot each other at Mon View Heights. 

Allegheny County police said in the news release that one victim was in stable condition while the other was in critical condition. One of the teens was shot in the chest while the other was shot in the thigh, sources added. 

It is not clear what led up to the shooting. Police are investigating.
