West End Kidnapping Suspect Sought

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The victim of a kidnapping in the Sheraden neighborhood told police three men in a van asked for directions, but before he could say anything, he was forced inside the vehicle at gunpoint.

He says he was forced to remove his pants then he was robbed of money, ID and cell phone.

This happened last Thursday around 5:30 p.m. on Hammond Street.

The 22-year-old victim whose name police ask that we not use says the trio talked about killing him as they pulled behind the library in Sheraden.

Fortunately, a group of people was walking out of the back door. The suspects drove off.

The victim says he then saw several officers in the area and took the opportunity jump out of the moving van.

The video was captured by a camera mounted on a wall at Chartiers and Sheraden Avenues.

The victim ran to police for help. They were in the area for a traffic stop.

Police have issued a warrant for 28-year-old David Walker of Sheraden.

Ironically, Walker stole the van from a family member in town from Michigan for a funeral. Walker then parked the car back in front of his house.

That's where police found it and impounded it.

Police are now looking for the other two suspects.
