Week 11 NFL Recap
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- Let's take our weekly look back at the week that was in the NFL for week 11.
AFC NORTH RECAP
The Baltimore Ravens extended their lead in the division by winning Steelers-Ravens I on Sunday night at Heinz Field, part 2 of the showdown comes in 2 weeks. As for the rest of the division, Cincinnati was impressive in their 28-6 win against Kansas City for their 2nd straight win. The Bengals are now .500 on the year and positioning themselves for the upcoming playoff push as they eye up a second straight wildcard playoff spot. The final game in the division feature Cleveland imploding like only Cleveland can do. Up 13-0 in Dallas at halftime, they blow that lead, only to regain it with 1:07 left in the game. After giving up a tying field goal with 2 ticks left in the game, they then lose it in OT. Typical Cleveland Browns football.
Bye weeks are over, so everyone is back in action this Sunday, here is a look at the AFC North match-ups for Week 11:
WEEK 11 SCHEDULE:
Oakland @ Cincinnati

Baltimore @ San Diego
BRUISED AND BATTERED
The big injury news for the Steelers is that for a 2nd straight week the Steelers have lost their quarterback due to an injury. Byron Leftwich reportedly suffered fractured ribs in the loss Sunday and will be out Sunday in Cleveland. Although that was the biggest injury in Pittsburgh, it was far from the biggest injury in the NFL this week. 2 All-Pro players were injured Sunday and could be out long-term. Eagles running back, LeSean McCoy suffered a concussion in his teams loss to Washington. He had to be carted off the field and will have to pass league mandated tests to be cleared to play on Monday against Carolina. Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots was also injured Sunday. Gronkowski broke his forearm while blocking on an extra point late in the Patriots 59-24 win against Indianapolis. Gronkowski had surgery on the injury yesterday and will be out anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks.
NEWS & NOTES
Charlie Batch looks to be the go-to guy this week for the black and gold. Batch is the last healthy quarterback on the roster for the Steelers and according to NFL.com will be getting the start in Cleveland on Sunday. Expect the Steelers to bring in a few other quarterbacks to look at and possibly sign 1 to back up Batch Sunday in Cleveland. It is also being rumored that the Steelers will be bringing in wide receivers this week to possibly sign and one of those receivers could be former Steeler Plexico Burress.
The Steelers rival Baltimore made news on Monday as well, as Ravens safety Ed Reed was handed out a 1 game suspension due to his helmet to helmet hit on Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders late in the 3rd quarter of Sundays game. The NFL claimed that the suspension was due to Reed being a repeat offender of helmet to helmet hits.
