Water Main Break Closes Roads In Scott Twp.
SCOTT TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A water main break in Scott Township is having a significant impact on traffic.
The 20-inch main flooded the intersection of Greentree Road and Old Washington Pike Wednesday afternoon.
Portions of those roads are closed until repairs can be completed.
"We haven't yet determined the cause, but we do know there has been some construction going on here on Greentree Road that may have impacted it," said Josephine Posti, of Penn American Water. "Right now, we only have about 50 customers in the vicinity of the break who are without service."
Officials with Penn American Water say water service and traffic are expected to return to normal by Thursday morning.
