Water Main Break Causes Road To Buckle In Whitehall
WHITEHALL (KDKA) -- A busy stretch of Route 51 in the South Hills is back open after a water main break created a big mess along the roadway.
The break caused the road to buckle.
Crews had to restrict traffic down to a single lane in both directions for several hours.
It was slow going for commuters between Streets Run Road and Baldwin High School while crews worked to fixed it Saturday afternoon.
Officials say about a dozen customers near the site of break lost water service, but repairs are now complete.
