Watch: Sidney Crosby Drops The Gloves With Brandon Dubinsky
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Frustration is boiling over for the Pittsburgh Penguins and that was never more evident than in Thursday night's game when captain Sidney Crosby dropped the gloves and fought Brandon Dubinsky.
With just under six minutes left in the second period, Crosby took a hit from Dubinsky and the Blue Jackets' forward wouldn't let him get up. Crosby apparently had enough and decided it was time to get his frustrations out.
Crosby and Dubinsky have built quite the rivalry dating back to last year's playoff series between the two teams, which the Pens won 4-2.
According to HockeyFights.com, this was Crosby's first fight since 2012, when he dropped the gloves with Philadelphia Flyers' captain Claude Giroux in the playoffs.
Prior to this fight, Crosby had six previous NHL fights under his belt and HockeyFights.com gave him a record of 5-1.
