Washington City Murder Suspect Sought
WASHINGTON, Pa. (KDKA) – Police in the City of Washington are asking for your help finding a murder suspect.
Investigators know his name and have his address but don't know where he is.
The shooting happened early Thursday morning outside a bar on Ewing Street in Washington.
The victim moved to that area a few months ago. The suspect is from the Homewood-Brushton area.
Lt. Dan Stanek of the City of Washington police department says 28-year-old Henry Williams shot 23-year-old Rensfield Jarvis several times with a .357 handgun.
Williams was identified through surveillance footage and eyewitnesses. Lt. Stanek says both men had been inside Pickle's Bar.
The two appeared to have an argument and Jarvis attempted to shake Williams' hand. Williams refused.
Nothing else happened inside the bar, but when both went outside Jarvis was shot in the parking lot. Investigators say the two did know each other.
Meantime, police don't believe Williams is still in Washington. They suspect he came back to Pittsburgh.
Williams is a convicted felon with an extensive criminal record including firearms violations and assault.
If you know where he is, police ask that you give them a call.
