Visitation Continues Today For Fallen East Washington Officer
WASHINGTON, Pa. (KDKA) -- Visitation continues today in Washington County for slain East Washington Police Officer John David Dryer.
Mourners streamed into the William Neal Funeral Home in Washington by the hundreds Wednesday night for the first day of visitation.
The mayor of East Washington says Dryer's death has been devastating to the family. The community is trying to provide as much support as possible.
Dryer was killed Sunday night during a traffic stop along Interstate 70.
"To be truthful, I'm tired - tired of looking at widows; tired of looking at children that lost their father or mother. It's just becoming an epidemic," said Sgt. Richard Griffith, of the South Park Police Department.
Visitation for Officer Dryer continues this afternoon and this evening The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church.
