Rich On The Road: Visa Issue Keeping Gorkys Hernandez Away From Spring Training
BRADENTON, Florida (KDKA) – BRADENTON, Florida (KDKA) – The first full squad workout for the Pittsburgh Pirates wrapped up Tuesday afternoon.
Manager Clint Hurdle called it a "good day."
Only one player didn't report to Spring Training on time. Gorky's Hernandez is not here yet because of visa issues. All players had to report by midnight.
Gorkys Hernandez is the only one that didn't report to Pirates Spring training on time. Visa issues. He will be here in camp soon.

The Pirates do expect him in camp sometime soon.
A couple things I noticed today. It was really the first chance to see Pedro Alvarez at first base. He had no problem fielding, but I did notice a few errant throws to third base.
One of the newest Pirates attracted the most attention. More than 20 Korean media members were here to see Jung Ho Kang.
I had a chance to spend some time with the 27-year-old over the last few days. Coming up tonight at 6 p.m. on KDKA-TV, I'll show what life is like for Kang on and off the field here in Bradenton.
Also coming up at 5 p.m. on KDKA-TV, Andrew McCutchen talks to me about his "exciting" offseason.
Cutch opens up about his new wife, Maria Hanslovan, and his perfect wedding.
