Vice President Biden Reaches Out To Union Workers In West Mifflin
WEST MIFFLIN (KDKA) -- They call it the Steel Blitz. Members of the the United Steelworkers Local 2227 and other Hillary Clinton supporters preparing to go door to door to get out the vote.
USW International President Leo Gerard reminded members about some of Donald Trump's remarks.
"This is a guy who said workers make too much money, if we're going to compete in the global economy they need to make less," he said.
More than a few speakers, from politicians to former Steelers, encouraging everyone to exercise their rights on Tuesday.
"America we're better than what Donald Trump represents, so we got to get people out to vote," Former Steelers player Mel Blount said.
"This guy is a fraud, he comes to Pittsburgh saying he's going to bring steel mills back to Pittsburgh, he goes to West Virginia says he going to bring coal mines back to West Virginia, he thinks we're all stupid," said Congressman Mike Doyle.

Guest speaker Vice President Joe Biden and his wife Jill said the stakes are just too high in this election.
"We cant go back and fight those fights that we fought so many years decades ago," Jill Biden said.
"In three days were going to decide what kind of country we want to be, and as Jill said the stakes couldnt be higher and the contrast couldnt be more stark between our choices," Joe Biden said.
The vice president said foreign leaders worry about a Donald Trump presidency.
"This is a guy who praises Putin while the rest of the world is scared to death of Putin," he said.
This is one of many trips the vice president has made to Pennsylvania during the campaign. He said the state is too important.
"Ladies and gentlemen if we win Pennsylvania, we win this election," he said.
