Urn With Human Remains Found On West Virginia University
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are trying to find the owners of an urn believed to contain human remains.
It was discovered by a West Virginia University faculty member in a wooded area on Outlook Street in Morgantown, which is on university property.
Police say the urn and its contents appear to have been outside for an extended period of time.
An incident of stolen cremains was reported already, but the family that reported it said the urn just found by police is not the same one they are missing.
No local funeral homes could provide any information either, police say.
Anyone with information is asked to call WVU Police at 304-293-3136.
