Upper Burrell Crash Leaves 2 Trapped In SUV
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Emergency responders worked to help two people trapped in a car crash Christmas Day.
It happened around 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of Manchester Hill and Oaklake roads in Upper Burrell Township, when an SUV hit some ice and slammed into a tree.
The intense crash left two people injured in the car and completely smashed in the front of the car.
A female driver suffered severe injuries to her lower extremities. She had to be cut from the vehicle and was flown the a Pittsburgh hospital.
An older man in the car also had to be pulled out using the jaws of life.
A small dog inside the car was not injured.
The victims' identities have not been released.
