Uniontown Man Accused Of Assaulting 12-Year-Old Arrested, Charged
UNIONTOWN (KDKA) -- Uniontown Police have charged 35-year-old Joseph Scott Dhron of Uniontown with multiple sexual abuse charges involving a 12-year-old boy he was babysitting.
Detective Donald Gmitter told KDKA-TV that the boy's mother noticed some changes in her son recently, at which point the boy told her about the alleged abuse.
According to investigators, Dhron had recently been babysitting both the woman's son and daughter.
A police criminal complaint says the mother reported that her son was acting "weird." That's why she went to the Uniontown Police Station last week.
Detective Gmitter said the boy was assaulted after his sister went to sleep at night and while their mother was at work.
Police say Dhron is accused of dragging the boy downstairs, making him watch pornographic movies with him, and then forcing the boy into alleged sexual acts.
Dhron refused to answer questions on Friday night when taken to the Fayette County Jail. He is being held there on $100,000 straight cash bond.
Police are continuing their investigating to see if there were any other juveniles Dhron may have had sexual contact with.
