Uber Hoping To Curb DUIs With South Side Breathalyzer Kiosk
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Uber has announced that they will be helping South Side patrons get home safely Friday night.
According to Uber, a breathalyzer kiosk will be set up on Carson Street. The exact location of the kiosk has not been released.
Anyone at the kiosk that blows over the legal limit will have a free ride called to the location. The company is hoping to raise awareness about safer alternatives to driving under the influence.

Last year, Uber used a breathalyzer kiosk in Philadelphia as well.
According to their blog, a Temple University study found that cities that have Uber service have seen a 3.6 percent to 5.6 percent decrease in alcohol related vehicle deaths.
