Trump Leads In Pennsylvania Over Clinton, Says Quinnipiac Poll
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Just days before he officially becomes the Republican presidential nominee in Cleveland, Donald Trump got some good news from the Quinnipiac poll.
He's winning some must-win states and that includes Pennsylvania.
With third party candidates on the ballot as expected, Trump wins 40 percent of the Pennsylvania vote to Hillary Clinton's 34 percent with Libertarian Gary Johnson garnering nine percent and Green Party candidate Jill Stein three percent.
Without Johnson and Stein, it's neck and neck with Trump at 42 percent and Clinton at 40 percent.
In most of the country, you can already predict who's going to win the state, but we've identified 13 states that are still up for grabs.
Traditionally, three of those states are really key -- Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
The winner of two of those three states usually goes on to become president, and right now that's Donald Trump.
Besides winning Pennsylvania, the Quinnipiac poll has Trump carrying Florida over Clinton by six points in a four-person race and three points in a two-person race.
Ohio is a toss-up with Trump ahead by one point in a four-person race and tied in a two-person race.

In Pennsylvania, Trump has pulled ahead because, says the Quinnipiac poll, the gender gap is shrinking.
In June, Clinton led Trump among women by 16 points, 50 percent t0 34 percent.
Now her lead among women is just four points, 43 to 39 percent.
The Quinnipiac poll found Pennsylvanians think Clinton is better on immigration and handling international crises, more intelligent, and better prepared to be president.
But Trump was deemed more honest and trustworthy, better at creating jobs, and handling ISIS.
In a sign that polls do differ, the Marist poll has Clinton ahead of Trump by nine points in this state with nearly one out of five Pennsylvanians saying they want neither or are undecided.
