Trib's Rob Rossi: NHLPA Grabbed Small Victories
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) -- Pittsburgh Tribune-Review writer Rob Rossi joined The Fan Morning Show on Monday after the NHL and NHLPA agreed to end the NHL lockout over the weekend.
He felt the owners probably got the better end of the deal, but cited the pension plan as a big win for the players, pointing out that the players didn't completely cave in to the owners' demands.
He explained that the owners began to back down a bit once games started getting slashed.
He also noted that no fewer than 16 of the 30 clubs needed a resetting of the financial part of the CBA from last time.
