Another Round Of Severe Weather Prompts Tornado Warning

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Another round of severe weather moved through western Pennsylvania on Wednesday evening, prompting watches and warnings all across the region.

A Tornado Warning in effect for Armstrong, Clarion and Indiana counties was allowed to expire just before 8 p.m.
"The sky is very intimidating," said PJ Wilhelm, an Armstrong County resident. "It is black and white clouds and they are rolling through the sky, and they're rolling across very fast. We've had high winds and we've had torrential rain. It's black as night and then the sun pops out."

Around 8 p.m., the National Weather Service said, while the storm was no longer showing signs of rotation, heavy rain and high winds would continue to impact the area.
As of 7:49 PM ET, the Tornado Warning for Armstrong and Indiana Counties has been cancelled. While this storm is no longer showing signs of rotation, gusty winds and heavy rainfall will continue to impact both counties as the storm moves east-southeast.

"The cells, while isolated, were extremely heavy and explosive at times," said KDKA's Jon Burnett, of the storms.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch was in effect for much of western and central Pennsylvania, along with parts of Ohio and West Virginia, until 11 p.m.

"A couple of spotty showers still left. The front itself is still back up in southern Butler County, but it will be moving through the region overnight, and the showers will go with it, and they will be gone for the next four straight days," said Burnett.

A Flood Warning for Allegheny and Washington counties ended at 9:45 p.m., and severe thunderstorm warnings for Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Mercer and Venango counties have been allowed to expire.
