Tomlin Getting Steelers Focused On Denver
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The preseason is over and Mike Tomlin held his first official press conference Tuesday afternoon to discuss the Steelers' Week 1 opponent.
Tomlin talked about how the team is preparing to take on the Denver Broncos and Peyton Manning, who missed all of last season after a serious neck injury and surgery.
Tomlin expects Manning to be at his best because he is a, "ridiculous football character."
Defensively, Tomlin said the Steelers will need to watch out for linebacker Von Miller and cornerback Champ Bailey.
As for the Steelers, the only players Tomlin ruled out for Sunday's game against Denver were David DeCastro and Stevenson Sylvester.
That means there is a chance James Harrison, Jason Worilds, Isaac Redman and Rashard Mendenhall could play.
The Steelers will kick off the season Sunday night at 8:15 p.m.
