Toddler's Arm Trapped In T Station Elevator Doors
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - An 18-month-old is recovering after a scary incident at a North Side T station.
According to officials, a mother was pulling the stroller out of an elevator when the doors clamped down on the little girl's arm.
Paramedics were able to free the girl's arm and she was taken to a local hospital. There is no word on the extent of the injuries suffered.
However, this is not the first time there has been a problem with the North Shore Connector's elevators and escalators.
The project spent $8 million on Schindler International's elevators and escalators. Some customers have said that the escalators have been out of service entirely at times.
The Port Authority is currently investigating the problems.
