Thunderstorms Light Up The Night, More Storms Possible
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Severe thunderstorms rumbled through the Pittsburgh area Wednesday night, and weather forecasters say more of the storms are possible Thursday.
The National Weather Service says showers and thunderstorms will move into the Pittsburgh area this afternoon, mainly after 1 p.m.
As the afternoon and evening rolls around, some of the storms could be severe.

Hail fell in many parts of the area Wednesday night, including Monroeville.
There were lots of reports of lightning in the area, including in Ross Township, where lightning hit the Red Lobster restaurant on McKnight Road forcing employees and diners out.
There were also reports of flooding, including on part of Old Route 8 in Hampton Township, which was said to be under a foot of water late Wednesday night.
Thousands of people lost power for a short time.
