Three Steelers Injured In Practice
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — The Post-Gazette's Ed Bouchette reports that Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey injured his left elbow in Thursday's practice.
That was just one of a few injuries from Thursday, though.
Also injured were running back Rashard Mendenhall and Linebacker Jason Worilds. Mendenhall hurt his knee and Worilds aggravated a quad injury that has nagged him all season.
All three — Pouncey, Mendenhall and Worilds — were limited in practice because of the injuries.
Trai Essex would likely start in Pouncey's place Sunday at Arizona if need be. Linebacker Lawrence Timmons will most likely start at outside linebacker Sunday since Worilds should be out.
