Three Pirates Homer In 10-3 Drubbing Of Orioles
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Alex Presley, Starling Marte and Matt Hague all homered as the Pirates beat the Orioles, 10-3, Monday night for their first win in spring training.
Hague hit a two-run homer over the wall in left-center field to give the Pirates (1-2 in spring training) a 5-1 lead in the third inning. Hague finished with three RBIs on the night.
Presley homered while going 3-for-3 on the night with two RBIs and two runs scored. Marte also homered and went 3-for-3 while scoring two runs.
"The Pirates executed really well and took advantage of the mistakes I made and put the ball in play," Orioles starter Brian Matusz said, according to the Pirates official website. "But overall, I felt like I attacked the zone really well and stuck to my game plan."
