Thousands In The Dark After Storms
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Some people in western Pennsylvania remain without power after strong storms pummeled the region Thursday.
Penn Power reports more than 461 customers in Allegheny County are still in the dark.
Some of the hardest-hit areas included Butler, Indiana and Armstrong counties. At last report, Butler still had more than 5,200, Indiana had upwards of 1,350 and Armstrong had more than 1,800 still waiting for power to be restored.
On Thursday night, the Central Electric Cooperative was reporting nearly 4,000 customers off line.
