PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - After dropping to No. 4 in the AP Top 25 rankings, the Pitt Panthers men's basketball team will host Big East opponent Cincinnati on Saturday, Feb. 5 with tipoff at at 6 p.m.
The women's basketball team will host the Lady Bearcats of Cincinnati tonight at the Petersen Events Center, then go on the road to rival West Virginia on Saturday.
Gymnastics, swimming and diving, wrestling, track and field and women's tennis will all be in competition this week.

THIS WEEK IN PANTHERS ATHLETICS
MEN'S BASKETBALL
The No. 4-ranked Pitt men's basketball team hosts Cincinnati on Saturday, Feb. 5 for a 6 p.m. tipoff. The contest will be televised on ESPN Regional/FSN Pittsburgh. The Panthers (20-2 overall) claimed their 20th win for the 10th consecutive season. Pitt enters the week atop the Big East standings with an 8-1 record and 1.5 game lead in league play.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Pitt women's basketball team hosts Cincinnati on Tuesday, Feb. 1 at the Petersen Events Center. Tip is set for 7:15 p.m. The contest will be broadcast on Pitt Panthers Television on The Comcast Network (Channels 188/210). The Panthers conclude the week with a Big East TV Game of the Week at rival West Virginia on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 4 p.m. Pitt dropped a hard-fought contest on Saturday at the Petersen Events Center, falling in overtime to Marquette 74-70. Taneisha Harrison led all Panthers with 18 points, while Shayla Scott matched a season-high with 17 points. Senior Chelsea Cole collected her Big East best 10th double-double of the season with 11 points and 14 rebounds.
GYMNASTICS
The gymnastics team will travel to Penn State on Sunday, Feb. 6 for a 2 p.m. meet against both the Nittany Lions and EAGL foe West Virginia. Sunday will mark the team's second tri-meet of the season and second consecutive week against the Mountaineers. Last weekend, the Panthers traveled to Morgantown for a tri-meet with WVU and Rutgers, finishing third with a score of 189.025. Senior Molly Moyer scored a 9.800 on the vault to tie for first place on the event, and senior Mallory Brewer scored a team-high 9.825 on the floor for a fourth-place finish.
SWIMMING AND DIVING
The Panthers conclude regular season action with their annual Senior Day meet on Saturday, Feb. 5. Pitt's divers will be at Carnegie Mellon at 11 a.m., while the swimmers will host CMU, California (Pa.), Clarion and Grove City in an 11 a.m. start at Trees Pool. Sophomore Adam Maczewski leads the Big East in the 100 back after setting a school record in the event against Virginia. Additionally, on the women's side, senior Mallory Mullady shattered a program record on the 1M diving board.
WOMEN'S TENNIS
Pitt will host two matches at Oxford Athletic Club this week. First, the Panthers face Bucknell on Friday, Feb. 4 at 12:30 p.m. Next, the squad plays Syracuse at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 5. The Panthers are coming off a four-match road swing, where senior Elizabeth Adams went 3-1 in singles play.
TRACK AND FIELD
The Pitt track and field team will travel to New York, N.Y. to compete in the two-day New Balance Collegiate Invitational on Friday, Feb. 4. Action begins at 10:45 a.m. on Friday and resumes on Saturday, Feb. 5 at 11 a.m. All events will be held at the historic Armory Track. Last week, senior Da'Lynn Mills won the 200M dash, while freshman Micah Murray won the 500M dash at the Penn State Nationals.
WRESTLING
The No. 23-ranked Pitt wrestling team hosts its annual "Fill the Fitz" match against rival West Virginia on Friday, Feb. 4 at Fitzgerald Field House. The match is scheduled for 7 p.m. Both teams enter the week as the only two unbeaten teams in the EWL.
PANTHERS IN THE COMMUNITY
Pitt's baseball team will host Panther PAWS at Trees Hall on Saturday, Feb. 5. The two-hour program begins at 10 a.m. Pitt's women's and men's basketball teams will also host their first honorary captains of the season, at their respective home games on Tuesday and Saturday.
