Point Park students received an alert from campus safety.
"It's quite honestly terrifying, but I think that Point Park does an amazing job with handling it and alerting students as soon as possible," said student Alicia Angelo.
Other students like Khajya Thomas feel differently.
"Extremely unsafe," Thomas said. "I think that there is a severe lack of security despite police prominence, excessive police prominence."
KDKA's Amy Wadas Reports:
Some Point Park students have taken notice of increased security measures on campus.
"I am happy that they're starting to install more security in the buildings that we live in because that is our home," said student Hope Gift. "That's where we live. So I'm happy that they're taking precautions like that."
Point Park police described the suspect as a thin, black male with short hair.
The suspect is around 25-years-old and was wearing a black coat and a multi-colored backpack during the time of the robbery.
