Taylor Swift Fan Says She And Others Had Purses Thrown Away At Concert
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – To 19-year-old Mollie Stein there is only one word to describe Taylor Swift's performance on Saturday night.
"Amazing," she says.
Mollie and her best friend had seats on the Heinz Field floor. So it would have been the perfect night, except for her purse episode, which she posted on Facebook.
"And I had a lot of comments on my post that the same thing happened to them," said Mollie.
Arriving at the field entrance gate about an hour before the show, Mollie was told her purse was too big and could not go in.
She says the guard told her to put it back in the car or put her stuff in a plastic bag and take that in.
But what about her purse?
"He said he would hold it up with all the other ones and after the concert I'd have to come back and get it," she said.
So Mollie left her purse with the others at the gate.
"I'd say at least 50 just stacked up under the table," she said.
But as soon as the concert ended, they were gone.
"I went back and there were about 50 other girls around me and we said, 'where are our purses?' and they said they threw them all away," said Mollie.
While it doesn't ruin Mollie's night, she says she feels she and others deserve an explanation – and reimbursement.
"I think we kind of deserve an answer as to where these purses went," Mollie said.
If you are someone who did not get your purse back, you can call Heinz Field at 412-697-7150, then hit #4 when prompted, to leave a message with your name, phone number and address, as well as a description of your purse. Officials say they have more than 200 purses at the stadium waiting to get back to their owners.
It won't be a quick process, but officials say they will try to get every bag back to its owner.
