Syrian American Author: "We Need To Support Our Soldiers In America"
PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) - Syrian American author Daleo Khalil joined KDKA's Chris Moore to discuss why America should not go to war with Syria.
"We condemn Assad for killing his own people, we need to ask what are we doing? We are sending our young men and women into war after war after war", said Khalil.
Khalil believes American soldiers need to be taken care of "Mentally, physically, and spiritually".
"We don't have a war on our own people, why are we sending them to war to fight for other people? They need our support here", said Khalil.
Khalil discussed the lack thereof when it comes to the way Veterans are treated after they serve.
President Obama will be seen on major networks this week in an attempt to persuade the American public to support military strikes in Syria.
