SWAT Team Surrounds Mt. Washington Home, Finds No One Inside

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The SWAT team spent about two hours surrounding a home in the Mount Washington section of Pittsburgh this morning.

According to initial reports, the incident started when police got a call asking for assistance at a home on Haberman Avenue near Eureka Street.

Authorities say they thought a man may have been holding someone else at gunpoint.

Officials blocked off the entire area.

While surrounding the home, officials used flash bangs as well as a loud speaker to try and communicate with the man who they thought was holed up inside.

Police first sent a K9 officer into the home.

After officials went inside, they found no one there. But police are continuing their search for the man who they thought was inside.

The investigation continues.
