Shooting Sparks SWAT Standoff In Bloomfield
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- SWAT was called Sunday afternoon to a home in Bloomfield.
It happened around 3 p.m. in the 4500-block of Friendship Avenue.
A 22-year-old man was shot in the shoulder and rushed to the hospital. His condition was not released.
A neighbor told KDKA that he helped the victim before police arrived.
"Somebody walked toward me and he was like 'I just got shot man,' and I was like 'really?' It took me a minute to process and then I saw blood coming and I was like 'Oh wow you did get shot,'" he said. "He said 'I think they shot me with a blank,' and I'm like, 'no,' because I looked in his back and he had a bullet in his back, I said 'they shot you with a real bullet, come on in."
Soon after, SWAT surrounded a home in an apparent standoff with a suspect.
Around 5:15 one person was seen being taken away in handcuffs.
