Suspects Sought In South Side Street Robbery
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Pittsburgh Police are looking for a man and two women involved in a late night assault and street robbery.
Wednesday, investigators released surveillance video from a fast food restaurant where two women were seen making a food purchase with a credit card stolen from the victim about an hour after the robbery took place.
The victim told police she was outside on 17th Street when an unknown man approached her, head buttered her, stole her purse and cellphone and fled into a dark colored SUV, speeding off.
At the time of the incident, the victim told police she was waiting for a friend in front of a building in the 100 block of South 17th Street.
The surveillance video, from the Burger King in Carrick, shows two women walking inside the restaurant to pick up their food after making a $36 order at the drive-thru window.
The victim was not seriously hurt in the incident. The male suspect was a young black male, believed to be in his 20's about 5-feet-9-inches tall with dreadlocks.
