Suspects Sought In Lawrence Co. Home Invasion
WAYNE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- People who live in a quiet Wayne Township neighborhood in Lawrence County say they are not surprised by a home invasion on their block.
That's because of all the traffic in the area with cars coming all hours of the day and night to a home on 12th Street Extension.
State Police say two armed men entered the home, duct-taped a 28-year-old woman and her 16-year-old brother and then ransacked their home, stealing cash, a laptop computer and other items. The pair fled with a third suspect.
Steve Degennaro, who has lived on the street for more than 10 years, says there's far too much traffic in the neighborhood lately and he's been suspicious for some time.
Another neighbor, who didn't want to be identified for fear of repercussions, says she and her family are so frightened, they area ready to move out of the area.
No shots were fired during the incident and two small children in the home at the time, aged 5, and 8, were sleeping in a nearby bedroom.
State Police say the home invasion-robbery suspects were black. One wore a gray hoodie and a bandanna – the other wore a black shirt and red bandanna.
