Suspects Sought In Fayette County Armed Robbery
SOUTH UNION TOWNSHIP (KDKA) - State police are searching for suspects after an armed robbery at a convenience store late Saturday night in Fayette County.
Authorities say it happened just after 11:45 p.m. at the Dairy Mart on Hopwood-Fairchance Road in South Union Township.
According to state police, two men entered the store "brandishing handguns" and demanding money from the cash register.
Investigators say the 23-year-old female clerk opened the register and one of the suspects took money, and then removed some cigarette packs from behind the counter.
The suspects reportedly took off on foot, running towards Hutchinson Park. Authorities say they believe the two men may have driven away in a silver-colored minivan.
The men are described as black males in their early 20s, between five-foot-seven and five-foot-nine-inches tall. Officials say they were wearing all black clothing at the time of the incident.
One of the suspects was reportedly wearing a mask.
