Brothers-In-Law Charged In Pittsburgh Bank Robberies
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Two people have been arrested following a bank robbery in Brookline and police say the suspects are brothers-in-law.
The robbery happened at the Community Bank at 714 Brookline Boulevard at about 2 p.m.
Police say Michael Laughlin will be charged in three robberies that happened at the Parkvale Bank in Mt. Washington and the Huntington Bank and Community Bank in Carrick.
"So they actually had a warrant for a man by the name of Michael Laughlin and once this bank robbery come in today they went to where they thought Michael was going to go," Pittsburgh Police Lt. Dan Herrmann said.
"Michael was there at that residence, so they arrested him immediately because they had a warrant for the prior bank."
Laughlin's brother-in-law, 46-year-old Terrell Gorman, is being charged in connection to the three robberies with robbery and co-conspiracy.
Pittsburgh police called him a co-conspirator.
Gorman was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
