Suspect Sought After Safe Goes Missing From Business
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police are searching for a suspect after a safe was stolen from a local business.
According to Pittsburgh police, a burglary alarm went off at The Zone Café on Butler Street around 5:50 a.m. back on March 5.
Authorities say the manager went to the business after getting a call from the alarm company and reset the system. Police say there were no signs of forced entry.
However, when the manager reopened the store the following Monday, investigators say it was discovered that the safe was missing along with some money and several credit cards that were inside.
Police say those cards were used at the Giant Eagle and Get-Go in Cranberry.
The investigation continues into the incident.
Anyone with information is being asked to call the Pittsburgh Police Burglary Squad at 412-323-7155.
