Suspect In Custody After North Side Standoff
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Police have a suspect in custody following a standoff Saturday night in the Spring Hill section of Pittsburgh's North Side neighborhood.
Police officers, the SWAT team and a negotiator were called to the 2100-block of Rockledge Street before the suspect eventually surrendered.
Authorities say the suspect is accused in a fatal shooting earlier this weekend at the Shamrock Bar on the North Side.
The victim in that shooting was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no reported injuries following the standoff.
Officials remained on the scene late Saturday night gathering evidence. The investigation continues.
