2 Suspects In Custody After North Side Chase
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Two men are in custody and one person was checked over for injuries following a police pursuit Thursday afternoon on Pittsburgh's North Side heading in the direction of Route 65.
According to police, a plainclothes officer was attempting a traffic stop on a black Dodge Charger on Brighton Road when the car refused to pull over.
The vehicle, which officials say was carrying two men, took off and headed toward Route 65.
The Charger hit four vehicles before the chase finally came to an end at Millerton and Termon Avenues. The two men inside were then arrested.
Authorities say one of the cars that was hit during the chase was carrying four people. One of those people was checked out for injuries at the scene.
However, no one had to be transported to the hospital.
Police say they also found a .9mm Glock in the street after a witness told a supervisor at the scene that they spotted a gun being tossed from one of the Chargers' windows during the chase.
The names of the suspects have not been released.
There's also no word yet on what charges they will be facing.
