Surveillance Camera Catches Determined Burglar At Dunbar Twp. Home
DUNBAR TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- An unwanted visitor showed up at the door of Erica Cole's home in Fayette County this week.
She had left her Dunbar Township home for a couple of hours to go to lunch with her boyfriend.
The determined thief wasn't going to be denied entry into Cole's house. After repeatedly failing to kick in the door, he walked around the side of the home and pried open a back window, then crawled inside.
Cole said the burglar rummaged about the house, went upstairs to a bedroom, and then left without taking anything.
He might have been frightened off by Cole's barking dog, she told KDKA-TV's Ralph Iannotti.
A surveillance camera caught the burglar trying to kick in the door.

Cole said she posted video of the man's angry persistence on Facebook to warn some of her friends in the neighborhood about the incident, and in the hopes that someone might recognize the thief.
"There's 12 minutes of him [on the video] hammering, kicking and pounding," Cole said. "He was very persistent."
State Police are investigating, but so far, there's been no arrest.
