Students Evacuated From Neshannock Elementary After Smoke Fills Hallway
NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Students were evacuated from an elementary school in Lawrence County this morning after smoke filled a hallway.
It happened at Neshannock Elementary around 8:30 a.m.
Officials say students were taken outside while firemen used thermal imaging cameras to search for the source of the smoke.
The fire alarm then went off at the high school.
The fire department was on the scene for about an hour and a half.
There is construction going on at the elementary school, but it's not clear if it is the source of the smoke.
