Strip District McDonalds Robbed At Gunpoint
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Police are looking for a man who robbed the Strip District McDonalds at gunpoint.
It happened just before 3 a.m. Thursday morning at the McDonalds in the 1600-block of Penn Avenue.
Police say an employee was in the back preparing food when she heard a loud crash and found that someone had shattered the drive-thru window.
She told police a man about 6 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds and wearing a gray hoodie with red and blue stripes approached her. The man then pointed a handgun at the employee and demanded she give him money.
After she gave him a bank bag and emptied a register, the suspect told her to lay on the floor and left.
The employee called 911, but police were unable to locate the suspect.
The PBP Robbery Squad is continuing to investigate.
