Utility Worker Taken To Hospital After Pole Falls Onto Bucket Truck
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A utility worker was taken to the hospital after a pole fell onto a bucket truck.
The individual was working to repair an overhead cable in Bloomfield when the pole fell and hit the contractor's truck.
The worker, a Duquesne Light contractor with JW Didado, was left dangling from the arm of the utility truck.
He was taken to West Penn Hospital with minor injuries.
On Tuesday, Allegheny County said South Mathilda Street is closed from Liberty Avenue to Friendship Avenue until further notice.
Officials had to shut off power to three apartment buildings as part of the restoration efforts, but power was restored around 8:35 p.m.
