Missing Girl, 10, Found Safe In Stowe Twp.
STOWE TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- A missing girl who disappeared Wednesday afternoon in Stowe Township has been found safe.
It was an emotional night in the Pleasant Ridge section of Stowe Township where police, firefighters and volunteers spent several hours searching for 10-year-old Raniyah Haywood.
The little girl got off her school bus with her brother at about 3:30 p.m. He went home, but she walked in a different direction.
As searchers scoured the neighborhood, including a nearby playground and woods, her mother broke down in tears, comforted by neighbors and friends.
She repeatedly could be heard crying out, "Where's my baby? Where's my child?"
Then, around 9:30 p.m., the child was spotted hiding under some low tree branches and bushes near a community center, a short distance from the main search area.
Angelica Fields, the girl's mother, said, "I can't believe it. I'm just so blessed and thankful to everybody that came out to help find my baby. She is okay, she's found. Thank you all. Thank you, everybody."

Haywood was taken to UPMC Children's Hospital to be checked out, but other than being cold and shaken, she appeared to be okay.
Why she didn't go home after getting off the school bus remains unclear.
