Steelers WR Jerricho Cotchery Talks Jets/Steelers Matchups, No-Huddle Offense
PITTSBURGH (93-7 THE FAN) -- Steelers wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery joined The Fan Morning Show on Thursday, as the team prepares to face his former team, the New York Jets, on Sunday.
He said that he expects Jets' cornerback Darrelle Revis to be ready to play despite his former teammate's mild concussion.
"This is a guy that got ticked off at the scout team receivers when I was over there if they didn't run the right routes," he explained.
He added that he thinks the Jets will have Revis cover Antonio Brown, leaving Antonio Cromartie to stick to Mike Wallace.
He also explained the dynamics of the Steelers' no-huddle offense and said that he enjoys playing in it.
"We get to dictate the tempo- so the defense, they have to react... Even if they switch the coverages, we're still able to see what's going on and get into the play we want. It's all about tempo," he said. "As receivers, we love it."
