Steelers WR Derek Moye Discusses Veterans Cracking Down On Younger Players
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - The story of the week for the Steelers is the veteran players cracking down on their younger teammates and not allowing them to play games in the locker room during business hours.
Derek Moye joined Starkey, Miller and Mueller to talk about this and the impact it's having on him and the rest of the team.
"I don't really get too much into this game in the first place, so it doesn't really affect me too much," Moye said. "I saw a few signs around the locker room saying they can't play the games or whatever, but it wasn't delivered in a bad sense of whatever. It was just posted around the locker room.
Moye also told us about how the rest of the locker room feels about the steps the veterans are taking to try and turn things around, and how focused they are on getting their first win against the Bears.
Although the offense hasn't had many bright spots so far this year, Moye's touchdown against the Bengals at the goal line was one of them, and he tells us if there are plans in place to get him more involved.
"That's something that we worked on last week in practice. We threw a few fades in practice and I was able to execute it," he said. "Hopefully, that's something I can continue to build on to get on the field."
Moye also talks about a receiver he emulates his game after and what the dynamic of the receiving core is like.
