Steelers' Wilson To Get 2nd Interview For Ravens' Offensive Coordinator Job
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Steelers running back coach Kirby Wilson interviewed for the Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator position on Wednesday and apparently impressed Ravens head coach John Harbaugh and his staff enough to be brought back in for a second interview.
According to Jeff Zrebiec and Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun, Wilson will be brought back on Friday for the next round of interviews. It's pointed out though that we don't yet know if Wilson is the only one of the four remaining favorites that were brought in for interviews originally.
Zrebiec and Wilson also note that a reason for the second round of interviews could be due to some of the Ravens' front office, including General Manager Ozzie Newsome and Assistant General Manager Eric DeCosta, attending the Senior Bowl during the first set of interviews.
Despite the quick rounds of interviews, there has been no timetable set by the Ravens for when they want to have the position filled.
Meanwhile, the Steelers have been busy filling out their own staff as earlier today they announced the hiring of Hall of Famer and former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak as their offensive line coach.
93-7 The FAN Host and Featured Columnist Colin Dunlap wrote about the hire saying the pressure is now on for the team to win now given the staff Mike Tomlin has working underneath him.
