Steelers Sign Lawrence Timmons To 6-Year Extension
Pittsburgh (KDKA)- The Steelers have signed another one of their big-name free agents.
The team announced this morning that they've agreed with linebacker Lawrence Timmons on a 6-year, $50 million extension.
The team has now locked up Timmons and LaMarr Woodley within the last month for deals worth $115. million.
The 2007 Draft was very successful for the Steelers with the drafting of Timmons in the 1st round and Woodley in the 2nd round.
With Timmons and Woodley out-of-the-way, the next two priorities will be safety Troy Polamalu and wide receiver Mike Wallace.
It's very unlikely that the team will be able to sign either of those two before the season starts.
