Steelers Sign No. 1 Pick Cameron Heyward
PITTSBURGH (KDKA)- Thanks in large part to the new CBA, the Pittsburgh Steelers will have their entire 2011 draft class signed on the opening day of camp.
Today, the team agreed to terms with No. 1 pick Cameron Heyward on his first pro contract.
Heyward agreed to a four-year contract with a team option for a fifth year.
In fact, Heyward was able to take part in the team's afternoon practice.
The Steelers drafted the Ohio State defensive end with the 31st pick in April's draft.
The lone pick yet to sign is 3rd round pick Curtis Brown from Texas.
