Steelers Release Tackle Jonathan Scott
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- A day after signing offensive tackle Max Starks, the Pittsburgh Steelers released offensive tackle Jonathan Scott.
Scott, a veteran who spent considerable time as a starter over the past two seasons, was the odd man out with Starks, Marcus Gilbert and rookie Mike Adams along the offensive front at the tackle position.
In 2010 and 2011, Scott started 14 regular season games and three playoff games for the Steelers. He's a six-year veteran, having spent time with the Detroit Lions and Buffalo Bills after being selected in the fifth round of the NFL Draft out of Texas.
